Working for GoLucky Studios at Mary Munez's Desk I took on being a production assistant for this feature and got to see how true Chicago independent productions run. From seeing the vision of Coburn Goss & Harold Rose come to life, to meeting some of Chicago's finest young filmmakers, and most notably getting to work alongside actors I idolized this production became more than just another gig. It was a melting pot of great artists rising up together in Chicago.
One of my favorite parts about this project was using filmmaking for a good cause. As a production, we got a house in Chicago, renovated it from its dilapidated form, to a livable fully functioning house in Irving Park. Bringing life and culture to a forgotten space made this film a mission beyond the art itself.
